Andrew Dummer (Guitar/Keyboards) has been pursuing music since taking piano lessons at the age of six.  Born and raised in the rough outskirts of Vancouver, WA, he used music to focus on the good things in life while growing up in a hostile world.  He will be graduating from the University of Portland in May assuming he is still smart enough to pass his final courses.  He has been musically active in choral, jazz, pep, rock, and orchestral ensembles on piano, guitar, electric bass, and voice.  Outside of music, Andrew enjoys studying biology and economics (no, really), eating dark chocolate ice cream with fudge and brownie toppings covered in Hershey’s syrup, watching the best movies Hollywood has to offer, staring at the moon when its low in the sky making it large and orange, dreaming, and extremely long walks on the beach.  And Led Zeppelin, a band which deserves its own sentence.

My name is Luke Hill (Baritone Guitar).  I’m a pretty cool guy who doesn’t afraid of anything.  What can I say about myself?  Well, we can start by saying that I have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, my guitar skills are intermediate at best, and I don’t know how to speak to adults.  However, I perform well under pressure.  Without practice, I flawlessly perform on show dates.  I guess it’s genetic.  You could call me the “clutch” guy.  I grew up in a town called Richland, Washington (formerly known as Ridgefield), and often, I reverse the meaning of what I say to add emphasis.  This makes me very difficult to communicate with, but I find it humorous, so I go with it.  I may not be better than everyone, but I at least tell myself I am, and after all, that’s what counts.  To me anyway.  Amen.

When the Daleks showed up on Zachary Paul Faltersack’s original home planet of Alvega, he thought all was lost. However, whilst hiding from destruction in his basement, he heard over Rebel Radio that The Doctor had arrived and had once again defeated this relentless and evil empire. Struck with wanderlust he quickly located The Doctor and assumed a position as his companion. Unfortunately, during a vacation on planet Earth, they became separated; unable to understand Earth’s technology, he was incapable of relocating The Doctor. He was forced to live in the streets, surviving by picking up the bass and busking outside of seedy bars. It was his luck to have been discovered by The Electric Opera Company, who became impressed with his ability to play, and was recruited to perform with them. He has been with the group for over a year now, and does not regret leaving his home planet.  -Zachary Paul Faltersack (Bass Guitar)

Spencer Silva (Low Guitar) hails from the not so small town of Concord, CA. He graduated from De la Salle High School in 2005, continuing on to University of Portland, where he studied Spanish and Political Science. In the spring of his last college semester, he began playing with EOC, playing the Oboe/ Violin II parts in the Barber of Seville. In the summer of 2009, he took a leave of absence from the EOC to travel the country. In the fall, Spencer returned to both Portland and the EOC, playing the cello parts for the EOC’s Christmas spectacular. Spencer has always loved music; he took a few guitar lessons when he was thirteen. Aside from music, Spencer also enjoys reading, cooking (yes, he’s a gourmand), facial hair and baseball. When asked about his plans for the future, he calmly stated, “Whirled peas would be nice.”

Josephine Woolington (Keyboards/Organ) has been taking music lessons since she was ten-years-old. In 2000, she began studying voice at Ethos Music Center in North Portland and has since studied with Margaret Linn and Thomas Blaylock, whom she is currently studying classical and jazz styles with. She began playing piano when she was 14-years-old at Ethos and currently studies with Galen Clark. Josephine attended Wilson High School and graduated in 2009. During her time spent at Wilson, she participated in a city-wide singing contest in 2007 and finished in second place. In 2008, she participated in the Oregon School Activities Association State Solo Music Contest as a mezzo-soprano. Now, Josephine is a faculty member and a piano teacher at Ethos Music Center. She is currently a student at Portland Community College and hopes to study education and music next year at the University of Oregon.

Audrey Voon (Soprano/ Keyboards) is a recent graduate from the University of Portland, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music (Vocal Performance emphasis) and a minor in French Studies.  She currently lives in Portland, Oregon and teaches private voice, choir, and piano at Ethos Music Center as a full-time AmeriCorps member.  She is passionate about music education, opera, and musical theatre.  In addition to making music with EOC, Audrey enjoys performing with other companies around town, including Portland Opera, Mock’s Crest Productions, and Opera Theater Oregon.   She plans to continue her studies in voice and theatre at the graduate level (date and location tbd…)
